General Dentistry

Restorative dentistry is the day to day practice of dentistry. It involves fixing cracked teeth, worn teeth, abscessed teeth with cavities, cosmetic bonding, dentures, caps, crowns and bridges. Restorative dentistry also now includes implants to replace missing teeth so you can use them as a foundation to build new teeth.

General dentists provide most of the restorative dental services to their patients. Occasionally the expertise of a specialist may be required. The five major specialties in dentistry are Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Periodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Radiology. Some practitioners may limit their practice or join an organization focused on certain types of restorative dentistry but they are not specialists.

Cosmetic dentists who are members of an organization and obtain Fellowship or Mastership status are still general restorative dentists. The same is true for dentists who place and or restore implants. Many of the specialists and general restorative dentists work with implants.

Our philosophy is to eliminate pain, free you of dental infection and restore your mouth back to a healthy state of function. In doing so many of the procedures will look very natural or cosmetic. Cosmetic dentistry many times looks like no dentistry was done at all.
